About a "Offsite" employee meeting

All kidding aside this is the response i got when trying to skip this bullshit meeting.
Scheduled for 8:30am till 5:30pm, I dont know about any of you, but this is fucking ridiculous.

faast: is the offsite mandatory?
boss: definitely
richuncleed: unless im sick, correct
richuncleed: ill take that nod, as a "unofficial" yes
boss: even if you are sick
boss: you already had your sick day this year
richuncleed: can you say "waste of time"
richuncleed: can i be laid off for a day?
boss signed off at 4:47:41 PM.
